As part of the capstone course curriculum, I got hands-on experience in creating news packages, writing digital stories, conducting interviews, producing a news show, editing in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop, creating content for social media, anchoring, and being a weather reporter. I worked with the class and news crew to ensure quality weekly live productions that represented the California State University Fresno newscast.

Fresno County Office of the District Attorney - Student Worker

January 2022 - Present

Working at the District Attorney’s Office in Fresno enhanced my professionalism, my ability to work with a team, meet deadlines, and grew my appreciation for justice and the legal field. I worked in the felony unit and as an assistant to the Public Information Officer. 

Job duties: writing content for our agency discovery newsletter, conducting interviews with office staff, attending events and press conferences to photograph and provide content for our social media platforms, creating and editing videos and images in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop/Lightroom, writing press release, photography, observing court proceedings, reviewing police reports and other legal documents, transcribing 911 calls.

This organization is part of the food security project designed to provide free food and resources for the students of CSU Fresno. The mission is to contribute to food security and provide students with resources so they can prioritize their studies and have a more successful learning environment. 

Job duties: working in the pantry, directing students to online and in-person resources, stocking items, helping students check out food and supplies, contributing to social media posts, answering phones, maintaining a clean, welcoming, and helpful environment.
